Official Signing Ceremony for Lab Development in Palestine

Gaza May 8th, 2018: MEDRC have signed agreements with the Islamic University and Al-Azar University, Gaza, to further support water research by developing lab facilities at both institutions. The MEDRC Fellowship program is delivered in close collaboration with the Palestinian Water Authority and is focused on developing in-country capacity at university level with awards going to students whose work will have a meaningful impact on local water challenges.

The MEDRC in-country Fellowship Program allows students to develop thesis topics in collaboration with water authorities, in a problem-solving context, directly responding to specific areas of need. To date the program has awarded 191 Fellowships in Palestine and Jordan with 30 more due to be awarded this year, bringing the total to 221.
