MEDRC Fellowship Alumni Selected to Present their Research at Jordanian International Conference 

MEDRC Fellowship Alumni were selected to present their original research at the inaugural International Conference on “Water Management in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands, 2017,” held at the Jordan University of Science & Technology (JUST) from 7-10 October 2017 in Irbid, Jordan.

The following presentations were made;
“Water Requirements of the Jordanian Nuclear Power Plants” – Tasneem Tawalbeh
“Water Governance and Integrity Risk Assessment for Water Sector in Jordan”  – Manal Al Shraideh
“Statistically Downscaling Precipitation and Temperature for a Semi-Arid Trans-Boundary Basin under RCPs and SRES Scenarios using SDSM”  – Alham Al-Shurafat
Water Resources Management in Jordan” –  Weam Mahdawi
 
The MEDRC Fellowship Alumni is a unique initiative which supports research capacity in Palestine and Jordan. MEDRC offers the opportunity to undertake postgraduate study at universities in Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza. MEDRC Fellowships are offered in partnership with the Palestinian Water Authority and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Jordan. MEDRC Research Fellows are committed to the further development of water management, desalination or reuse in their respective countries. Alumni are part of an extensive network, stimulating international dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.
