MEDRC and A’Sharqiyah University Sign MoU

MEDRC Water Research and A’Sharqiyah University sign MoU agreement to work towards finding solutions to fresh water scarcity.

Wednesday 4th October, 2017 at MEDRC Water Research in Al Hail, Muscat, a memorandum of understanding was signed between MEDRC Water Research and A’Sharqiyah University.

The agreement recognizes common areas of interest between both parties and the potential that exists for mutually beneficial future collaborations. Both parties expressed a desire for cooperative exchange in the field of water resources management; treatment technologies; desalination technologies and brine and desalination disposal management.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Jauad El Kharraz, Head of Research at MEDRC Water Research, on behalf of MEDRC’s Center Director, Mr. Ciarán Ó Cuinn who couldn’t attend the signing ceremony due to family commitments and Dr. Abood Al Sawafi, Vice Chancellor, A’Sharqiyah University.

Both parties recognize the significant set of shared values, missions and goals of their organizations and have identified areas for future collaboration to work towards finding solutions to fresh water scarcity.
