10 Oct Leading O&M firms look to recruit TAHLYA graduates

Leading operators of desalination plants in Oman are looking to recruit graduates from the TAHLYA vocational training program.
Two of the most recognizable names in the industry – Veolia and Suez have begun their selection process with final placements of candidates expected to be announced shortly.
Head of training at MEDRC Water Research, Eng. Riadh Dridi, sees this as an important milestone in the TAHLYA training program. “the aim of this program is to build a pool of skilled Omani nationals who can work in the rapidly expanding desalination industry. It is about building capacity within the Omani workforce so that Omani’s have the skillset to lead the development of this sector. It’s therefore imperative that we have the support and backing of firms such as these. Their interest in our graduates is a testament to success of this program. We look forward to seeing our graduates embark on their desalination career paths with these great companies”. 

MEDRC has a firm commitment to ensure that trainees under this project have the skills to join the labor market. It is therefore of utmost importance that MEDRC work closely with the desalination sector. The involvement of firms such as Veolia and Suez has been sought at every crucial stage of the TAHLYA project since its inception, from curriculum design, selection process, internship placements through to job placements.
