16 Mar Flowserve Conduct 3 day Training Course at MEDRC

In keeping with our mission to build capacity within the water sector in the MENA region we invited Flowserve to conduct a 3-day training course as part of our CPET (Continued Professional Educational Training) Programme, at our MEDRC premises in Muscat. We were delighted to welcome 6 participants from Palestine and 3 from Jordan, to this course. MEDRC’s CPET (Continued Professional Educational Training) Programme is ran from our regionally unrivalled, state of the art facilities at our headquarters in Al Hail, Muscat.

We recognize the importance of bringing industry leaders into our training classrooms as it gives students access to the latest innovative practices and technologies on offer from providers and offers a valuable link between theory and practice.
Flowserve are a global leader in the manufacturing of high efficiency pumps and energy recovery devices. They are capable of giving trainees an important insight into the complexities and nuances of their systems and equipment which in turn optimizes performance and protects plant assets.
This customized course provided participants with a basic introduction to the theory of centrifugal pumps and energy recovery devices and was centered on maintenance and operation procedures.
During the course the participants learned necessary skills to improve their understanding in the desalination process, process design and operating procedures, basic troubleshooting and the general and preventative pump maintenance procedures.
