MEDRC Congratulates New Water Research Fellows From Jordan

As part of the successful Water REsearch Fellowship Program, MEDRC was delighted to award two students at the Jordan University of Science & Technology with support for their research work. Ms. Manal Al-Shraideh’s research focuses on Water Governance and Integrity Risk Assessment for theWater Sector in Jordan, with the support of supervisor Prof. Fayez Abdulla and Ms. Heba Kanaan is investigating Coupling Activated Carbon with Surface Active Materials for Olive Mill Wastewater Treatment, under the direction of Dr. Muna Abudalo.

A unique initiative to support research capacity in Jordan and the Palestinian Territories, MEDRC offers the opportunity to undertake postgraduate study at universities in Jordan, the West Bank and Gaza. MEDRC Fellowships are offered in partnership with the Palestinian Water Authority and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Jordan. MEDRC Research Fellows are committed to the further development of water management, desalination or reuse in their respective countries. Alumni are part of an extensive network, stimulating international dialogue and cross-cultural exchange.
