Call for Applications: MSc Fellowship Awards

MEDRC is pleased to invite researchers from Palestine and Jordan* to submit their applications for the 2022 MSc Fellowship awards.

Funded through the Government of the Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Germany and delivered in partnership with the Palestinian Water Authority and the Jordanian Ministry of Water and its affiliated authorities, the Fellowships provide research support funds of $5,000 per project, for master-level research that helps find solutions to fresh water scarcity or fosters water cooperation.

Fellowship award recipients will be selected by a panel of experts representing MEDRC and its regional partners, in addition to a number of external experts from the water, environment and agriculture sectors, who participate on a rotational basis.

Submitted research proposals will be scored across comprehensive criteria reflecting the strength of the proposal, innovation, sustainability, scalability and the strategic impact of the project on local and regional water challenges. To be eligible for funding, projects must be in line with national priorities for the water sector. MEDRC therefore strongly advises applicants to study relevant policy documents prior to submitting their application (e.g. water strategies, climate change adaptation plans, strategies for agricultural development).

*Applicants must be a resident national of Palestine or Jordan.
