23 May Webinar: Omani Young Water Researchers Award
Over the past four years, the Omani Young Water Researcher Award has served as an important annual event that has motivated, encouraged and highlighted water research among Omani youth.
The award this year was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and generously sponsored by the Embassy of the kingdom of the Netherlands and Omar Zawawi Establishment LLC (OMZEST).
Omani students from different universities and colleges attended the MEDRC organised webinar held on May 23 introducing the 2021 edition of the Omani Young Water Researchers Award to student researchers and encouraging applications.
This initiative seeks to promote and encourage water research that can contribute positively to Oman’s Water sector and focuses in four key areas;
- Water management
- Water treatment technologies
- Desalination
- Non-revenue water or related environmental research
The award is divided into three categories, best postgraduate research, best undergraduate research and best wastewater research.
