UNESCO-IHE is an internationally recognised key-player in post-graduate education in water and environmental research. Its expertise is in applied research that yields outcomes relevant to developing countries and countries in transition. UNESCO-IHE is the largest international postgraduate water education facility in the world. The Institute confers fully accredited MSc degrees and promotes PhDs. Since 1957 the Institute has provided postgraduate education to more than 14,500 water professionals from over 160 countries, the vast majority of from the developing world. MEDRC has an MoU with UNESCO-IHE.
