TAHLYA starts hands on training phase

The bp sponsored TAHLYA program seeks to train young Omani national job seekers in reverse osmosis desalination technologies. The training program, composed of classroom training, hands on training and on job training started in February last year at MEDRC and was continued online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The trainees have since completed their classroom training online and have recently started their hands on training phase of the program at MEDRC. All training activities are conducted in strict compliance with the guidance of the supreme committee at all times.

The practical phase of the training program takes place at MEDRC’s very own state of the art desalination plant and laboratories. The goal of this approach is to provide students with not only a strong academic education but also practical experience in desalination procedures.
