We are now accepting online applications for TAHLYA. Window for all applications closes on 30th November, 2017.
The TAHLYA vocational training program in desalination aims to train 75 young Omani nationals per annum in Reverse Osmosis Desalination. The program is sponsored by BP with training taking place at MEDRC Water Research facilities in Al Hail, Muscat.
By 2020 Oman will:
- Have 10 large scale desalination plants
- Need 160 desalination supervisors
- Need 452 desalination operators
- Produce 1.7 mm3/day of desalinated water
First launched in 2016, the TAHLYA program aims to create a pool of skilled employable labour in desalination within Oman to help meet the labour requirements of the countries expanding desalination sector. The application process for TAHLYA 2018 will be open soon with training due to start in January 2018.
